Service Departments
Frame
and Body Departments
Our body shop's
frame and auto body repair departments are well equipped with
all the necessary modern equipment that allows D&M
Auto Body to provide quality collision repairs on today's
complex vehicles including:

Celette frame repair bench. To be able to properly perform structural repairs on high-end European vehicles, a Celette dedicated frame machine is required by most vehicle manufacturers. D&M Auto Body is one of the few shops that utilizes this machine in our area. The Celette machine also allows us to properly perform complicated structural aluminum repairs on BMW's.
*Two drive on Dataliner frame machines capable of multiple
pulls. Full frame and uni-body vehicles can be structurally
realigned on these machines. Primarily used for
larger collision repairs.
*Four
Blackhawk Power-Lok work stalls for minor structural alignment
repairs. These work stalls allow D&M technicians
to continue working on smaller collision repairs without
waiting for the completion of a larger repair to be removed
from one of our drive on machines.
*Chief Velocity computerized/Laser measuring system.
Today's vehicle structures are manufactured from lightweight
high strength steel designed to "fold up" in a collision
to protect the vehicle occupants. There are many
crush zones designed throughout the entire vehicle structure.
Crush zones allow structural panels to bend or collapse
a pre-determined area which absorbs a large percentage
of the collision impact force.
Repairing
a vehicle that has been involved in a medium to large
collision requires the complete vehicle structure to be
accurately measured. Even in a front end collision
the impact force could cause a section of the rear body
to be out of place. Unless the complete vehicle
is accurately measured, the rear damage could go unnoticed
and remain damaged.
Pro-Spot PR-2000 inverter and mig welding system mounted
on an overhead track covering our entire body and frame
department. With this type of inverter welder, D&M
Auto Body can duplicate the original vehicle manufacturer's
welds in terms of strength and appearance when replacing
welded body parts.
Eurovac central vacuum sanding system covering
all our of body shop's work areas. Besides from making it a
healthier environment for employees, using this vacuum
system minimizes the amount of sanding dust accumulation
in your or other vehicles during auto body collision repairs.
Refinish
Department
Our auto body shop uses our two Garmat down draft paint booths to refinish
vehicles and allow D&M Auto Body to reproduce the
original finish of your vehicle. Our spray booths
introduce completely filtered air from above the vehicle
and exhausts the spray mist and fumes from below.
This process minimizes any dust particles from the air,
which cause imperfections in the paint surface.
After the painting process is completed, the spray booth
goes into a bake mode. This process cures the paint
film, producing a factory like finish in both appearance
and durability.
*Garmat double vehicle preparation area. Prior to
your vehicle entering our paint booth for application
of paint, all sanding is done on this paint preparation
platform. This unit is complete with color corrective
lights for paint color tinting prior to application.
These lights also aid our refinish technicians when examining
the areas to be refinished for imperfections.
*Overhead Spectratek infra-red curing lamp.
This curing lamp is installed in the paint preparation
area and allows D&M Auto Body to cure primed repair
areas of your vehicle in as little as ten minutes.
No longer is an overnight wait time required before sanding
and refinishing.
*BASF paint mixing system that provides computerized
paint color formulas for all domestic and imported vehicles.
When needed on difficult or unknown colors, this system
incorporates a computerized "eye" that when held on your
vehicles finish, reproduces a paint color formula that
is similar to your vehicles color.
